Also, staying in the town of Cozumel Mexico might not be as attractive for those looking to stay in waterfront Cozumel vacation rentals.
As far as beachfront property is concerned, Cozumel condos are the best options for short term stays. At a price of around $100 per night, guests can stay at a decent sized, nice-looking Oceanside bungalow. Ultimately, even at a small rise in price in comparison to other Cozumel vacation rentals options, Cozumel condos offer a beautiful view of the ocean. For the higher priced vacation spots, condos provide a private beach to enjoy during the vacation. Still, even the more budget conscious Cozumel vacation rentals are quite nice and offer a more homey experience for those who enjoy a house stay instead of a cramped hotel room.
For those looking at Cozumel Mexico as more of a permanent second residence, Cozumel vacation homes are also available for upwards of $100,000. It's possible for anyone, Mexican resident or not, to buy any one of the nice Cozumel vacation homes currently on the market. But for those looking to build in one of the tourist restricted zones (such as beach front property) there is a little red tape to clear. Cozumel vacation homes must first have a bank trust put on them, authorized by a notary public in Mexico. There is, of course, fees associated with this, and the cost of non-Cozumel vacation rentals can be steep.
There's no doubt that Cozumel is an excellent place to pass the time, with beautiful beaches, reefs, and many fun activities near the city. Any one of the Cozumel vacation rentals or buying a vacation home in the area is more attractive than visiting the cramped hotels and tourist traps that most visitors to Mexico do. It might not be the cheapest vacation in the world, but Cozumel vacation rentals are not as expensive to rent as one might imagine, and it's a lifetime of relaxation.
